We warmly welcome you to our cosy 4-star holiday flat ‘Zur alten Schreinerei’ in the old gold mining town of Steinheid with its slate-roofed houses in the middle of the Thuringian Forest. Where windows, doors and gates were once made by hand, a wonderful holiday home has been created. Old tools and pictures tell of this time.

Today, a cosy, lovingly designed and comfortably furnished 80 m² holiday flat awaits you with a spacious living room, a fully equipped kitchen, a feel-good shower, WC and two separate bedrooms with a special flair for a restful night's sleep. Four people can sleep comfortably and enjoy their stay. An extra bed is possible at any time. Two terraces surrounded by nature create a special atmosphere. From your flat, it is not far to the world-famous Rennsteig, the high-altitude hiking trail of the Thuringian Forest.

The bakery and butcher's shop are within walking distance. Enjoy our original Thuringian specialities, which you can prepare on our charcoal grill.

We are an all-inclusive host! If you stay with us, you will automatically receive the entrance ticket to all leisure facilities in the Thuringian Forest on arrival.

Your guest card gives you FREE access to museums & exhibitions, castles & palaces, caves & show mines, thermal baths & outdoor pools or you can take part in guided city tours & hikes without having to pay extra. You will find attractive excursion destinations close to our holiday flat. Visit Lauscha - the birthplace of glass Christmas tree decorations - and immerse yourself in the history of glass craftsmanship in the Thuringian Forest in the ELIAS theatre at the coloured glassworks. In the Museum of Glass Art, you will be amazed at what can be made from this fragile material. In the Schwarzatal valley, the steepest funicular railway in the world awaits your visit with the Thüringer Bergbahn and, a few kilometres further on, the Saalfelder Feengrotten adventure world, the most colourful show caves in the world. Conditions/extras

You can cancel the contract at any time. Cancellation is possible free of charge up to 14 days before the start of the rental period. In the event of cancellation less than 14 days before the start of the rental period, the full travel price must be paid. 
Cancellations must be made in writing. The date of receipt of your cancellation message counts.
