The Blue House in Schmalkalden welcomes you to its spacious holiday apartment. It offers space for family reunions or time together with friends and is located in a villa that is over 100 years old.

The domicile is located in a quiet residential area, on a south-facing slope just above the city.

In about 12 minutes you can walk to the city center. Schmalkalden, as a historic half-timbered town, is a gem south of the Rennsteig. It is located between Meiningen and Eisenach, Erfurt is about 60 km to the north.

You can encounter medieval traces in Schmalkalden or trace the significance at the time of the Reformation and Luther's work. Wilhelmsburg Castle invites you with its Renaissance complex and exhibitions. In the immediate vicinity you can enjoy the beautiful nature of the Thuringian Forest directly from the apartment. Whether tourist hiking destinations, winter sports resorts, swimming pools, caves, sea aquarium or summer toboggan run - you can easily reach many adventure sites within a radius of approx. 25 km.

The apartment with 110 m² is sunny and very spacious. It has a large kitchen-living room, a large living room, 3 further separate bedrooms, 2 showers each with toilet and a hallway. The sunny, east-facing terrace offers a good place to stay with its beautiful view and is also the entrance to the apartment.

All rooms are tastefully furnished, old style elements meet modernity. The apartment has a TV, free Wi-Fi and a digital radio for entertainment. The kitchen with its extensive equipment invites you to cook and eat in a cozy atmosphere. Sustainability is also taken into account in the holiday apartment. For example, a modern pellet kitchen stove supplies all rooms with heat from the eat-in kitchen. In winter, the crackling fireplace conjures up a cosy atmosphere. Enjoy the beautiful views from all rooms. The view over the city with its castle and church towers, the the mountain view or the view into the garden is impressive at any time of the year. Families with children and/or grandchildren are welcome. Cot, high chair, games etc. are available.
