Surrounded by beautiful mixed forests and rolling hills, our hotel is located in the middle of the Thuringian Forest Nature Park. Here, on the south-western slope of the Rennsteig and at the gates of the half-timbered town of Schmalkalden, you can breathe pure and natural forest air and feel from the first friendly reception that the sense of Thuringian hospitality, tradition and lifestyle is cultivated in this house in a very personal way.  Families and hikers are just as welcome in our house as hurried business people or guests who are simply looking for peace and quiet. Our holiday hotel is comfortably equipped in all areas. A small sauna area is available, a sunny and quiet hotel garden with pool, relaxing massages and the best Thuringian cuisine.
